Newcastle Homes Internships (July 2020 - Present)

During the breaks between college, I had the honor of working with Newcastle Homes. I served as their Office Manager Intern from July 2020 to August 2020. I helped create a marketing plan and distributed promotional products to local businesses around the community to advertise the company and bring awareness to the Corpus Christi Parade of Homes event. I also provided clerical and administrative assistance with various accounting and bookkeeping duties. I then worked along side the construction manager, Paul Loria, as an assistant from December 2020 to January 2021 as well as May 2019 to August 2019. While working as the Assistant Construction Manager, I learned valuable information about project management. I addressed unexpected problems quickly, efficiently made detailed plans for the week and upcoming months, completed strenuous manual labor regularly, collaborated with dozens of contractors and businesses, created weekly payroll, and maintained all other duties necessary to keep the company on track. I have continued working as a self-contractor for Newcastle Homes during my free time.
